KRISTY KROEPLIN MULL - PRESIDENT AND CEO
Kristy is sensitive to the security needs of the affluent because of her personal safety which was compromised many years ago. 

While Kristy was home alone one morning unpacking boxes after a recent move, a disgruntled employee of her husband's real estate development company walked in to her new kitchen and began to threaten her.  Her 22 caliber gun was in the cupboard behind the intruder and she couldn't get to it.  Fortunately, her husband came home at just the right moment and made the intruder leave.  Feeling scared and vulnerable, Kristy's first thought after the incident was, "If I had a dog, I would have known he was here before he even came in to the house."  Kristy bought her first personal protection dog fourteen years ago and has never been without one since. 

Because Kristy was so impressed with the her own dog, she began researching the best German Shepherd lines for personal protection work.  Her search lead her to the distinguished Czechoslovakian Border Patrol dogs.  That was over twelve years ago.  Since that time, Kristy has been able to import some of the top dogs from the World Famous Pohranicni Straze kennels. 

Today, Kristy and her staff breed and train these wonderful dogs so others can live in the freedom of their normal lives without fear for their personal security.

Kristy is a member of DVG America, Cascade Schutzhund Club and the United Schutzhund Clubs of America.   She is also a life-time member of the National Rifle Association, and holds current membership in the Heritage Foundation. 

LES FLORES - HEAD TRAINER
Les Flores is a medically retired California Police K-9 Officer and has been training dogs for over thirty years in the areas of K9, narcotic detection, Schutzhund, SAR, AKC obedience, show and executive protection.

Les is an Internationally known dog trainer and regularly gives seminars on topics such as drive training theory and practical application as well as competitive handling techniques in the sport of Schutzhund.  People come from as far away as Canada and Germany just to learn his unique approach to dog training. 

Les is well respected in the dog sport and Police K-9 communities.  He has won well of a hundred awards in both arenas and loves the thrill of high competition on the International scale.  He is sought after and helps many other dog trainers in the Puget Sound area and across the country with their personal dog training issues.  Whether it's obedience, protection, a behavior issue or simply better handling skills, Les is a proven leader among dog trainers around the World.

Les has trained dogs for celebrity actors, politicians, executives, professional athletes, school districts, numerous police departments across the country, and busy families who needed their dog trained quickly and reliably with the least amount of fuss.  

Les' real-world police experience combined with his outstanding training abilities ensures that our clients receive safe, reliable dogs to suit their individual situations and needs.  American Defender is honored to have Les as our head trainer. 

DARA FLORES - OBEDIENCE COORIDINATOR
Dara has over twenty-five years experience training dogs and has been actively involved in the sport of Schutzhund for the last eighteen years. 

Because each dog is as unique as people are, Dara adjusts the training program to fit the way each dog learns.  She has trained with over sixteen international celebrity dog trainers giving her an extensive knowledge base and tools to use.  She often incorporates techniques also used by celebrity dog trainers such as Victoria Stillwell, Joel Silverman, and Cesar Milan, Les' drive training technique as well as ideas and solutions of her own.  The results are dogs that willingly and naturally want to work for their handlers but are clear about their jobs and not a nuisance in public.

Dara is an honorably discharged Veteran and served both in South Korea and the Pentagon.  She began her military career training with a Military Police Battalion and eventually moved to top secret communications support for such entities as the White House, The Pentagon, DEA, NSA, Air Force One, Joint Chiefs of Staff, and numerous other government agencies.  

Dara understands the need for a high level of discipline, training, and confidentiality required to train an American Defender K-9 to do it's job and respects the privacy needs of our clients.
